Common complaint both from IT and other parts of companies is that IT is not a part of the business value chain. IT wants being part of the value chain and business units want technology to enhance the value chain. Having IT as a separate department creates a silo physically and mentally. The only way to resolve this paradox is to decentralize IT and make it part of all of its current customers.
